PDP president and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti Tuesday urged youth to vote and tell New Delhi that decisions taken in August 2019 are unacceptable to people of Jammu and Kashmir.

While campaigning in favor of party youth leader Waheed Parra who is contesting Lok Sabha elections from Srinagar Parliamentary seat said “He has been the symbol of challenges faced by Kashmiri youth after August 2019”.

Addressing people during a road show in southern Pulwama Mehbooba urged people of Jammu and Kashmir to respond to New Delhi through voting for its actions in Jammu and Kashmir it resorted after August 2019.

She appealed youth to support PDP’s candidate for Srinagar Parliament Constituency and stated their voice will be addressed in an appropriate manner.
She said that the ongoing Lok Sabha elections are not for bringing electricity or advancing its infrastructure, or a run for becoming MLA to be in power, rather it an a chance to reply to New Delhi through votes and tell them their decisions taken in August 2019 are unacceptable to people of Jammu and Kashmir, which need to be reversed.

She said post August 2019 the entire Jammu and Kashmir has been turned into a jail and youth are the worst sufferer. “Our youth are being summoned to police stations and subsequently detained in jails outside Jammu and Kashmir. This is all unacceptable for us. We have to respond this outlook through votes so that our representative will reach to Parliament and flag up our genuine concerns,” she said.(KNS)
