Srinagar, Nov 10: Political activist ChoudharyZaffar Thursday joined the National Conference Thursday along with his supporters at a function presided by party General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar at party headquarters Nawa-e-Subah, Srinagar.
A statement from the NC said that while welcoming the new entrants into the party, senior leader Nasir AslamWani said, “Our people are facing a big threat from divisive forces. We all need to come together to defeat them. Choudhary’s Sahib’s presence in our ranks will undoubtedly fortify our base in Breng, Kokernag belt in particular and entire South Kashmir in general,” he said.
Senior leader MianAltaf, while welcoming ChoudharyZaffar said, “The joining of Choudhary Sahib will certainly strengthen our base in South Kashmir areas. I am sure that the party will benefit from Choudhary Sahib’s experience in public life and social service. It’s now imperative on them to carry forward the party legacy and counter forces inimical to brotherhood in J&K. We have to work day in day out to counter the bogus narratives of these hostile forces,” he said.
On the occasion, ChoudharyZaffar vowed to strengthen the party cadre on ground and fortify its base in Kokernag and entire South Kashmir.
