VVGNLI 9-day leadership training programme continues with focus on team building

Noida, Apr 03: The ongoing international training programme on leadership for 21st century professionals at the V V Giri National Labour Institute (VVGNLI) continues with a series of interactive sessions and practical exercises aimed at strengthening leadership and teamwork skills among participants.

The programme, being conducted under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs, has brought together professionals from multiple countries and diverse institutional backgrounds.

During the recent sessions, delegates participated in modules on goal setting and team building conducted by Rizwan Uddin, Regional PF Commissioner-I and Chief Learning Officer, PDUNASS. The sessions focused on aligning diverse groups into cohesive teams and enhancing collaborative problem-solving abilities.

Participants were divided into groups and engaged in structured activities designed to test coordination, communication, and resource management under time constraints. A fireless cooking exercise formed a key part of the training, where teams prepared and presented their dishes within a stipulated time frame.

Officials said the programme is aimed at building leadership capacities through experiential learning and cross-cultural engagement. Senior functionaries of the institute, including Director General Dr Arvind, reviewed the activities and interacted with the participants.

The training, which began on March 30, will continue till April 7, with further sessions planned on leadership development, organisational behaviour, and collaborative decision-making.

Participants from countries including Tunisia, Sri Lanka, Ghana, and Tajikistan are attending the programme.
