Jammu, Jan 15: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has gone on full election mode in Jammu and Kashmir as the party has started an intense 4-day ground level exercise in all the ninety (90) Assembly segments of J&K UT on the directions of party high command, reliable sources in the party informed.
For carrying out this 4-day exercise, the BJP has appointed Prabharis, In-charges, Co-incharges and Conveners for each Assembly segment of J&K UT, they informed.
“The 4-day programme has been chalked out by the party high command for BJP’s J&K unit and we have been told to be well prepared for the Assembly elections,” Deputy Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Baldev Billowria informed Rising Kashmir, adding, “After completion of this ground level exercise, a detailed report will be submitted to the party high command”.
This ground level exercise started in all the 90 Assembly seats of J&K from today and will finally culminate with thorough deliberations at each booth of J&K, sources further informed.
On the first day today, Prabharis, Incharges, Co-incharges and Conveners held meetings in their respective Assembly segments with the party office bearers and workers of each constituency.
On the second day tomorrow, the appointed Prabharis, Incharges, Co-incharges and Conveners will hold Mandal level meetings with the Mandal Presidents, Incharges and party’s Mandal level leaders.
On third day, there will be meetings of Shakti Kendras. Each Shakti Kendra covers 3 to 4 Polling booths.
On the fourth day, meetings will be held at booth level during which ‘Panna Pramukhs’ (page incharges) will be appointed and assigned duties to reach out to each and every voter of their respective booths, sources said.
Sources informed, “Detailed report mentioning various issues of each Assembly segment concerning common masses, local demands, development issues besides assessing organisational preparedness of the party will be prepared in the 4-day exercise”.
This detailed report, they said, will be submitted to the party’s District Presidents who will then submit the detailed reports of each Assembly segment to the party’s J&K President. The party president after going through the detailed reports will present them before the high command.
Former ministers, MLAs and senior party leaders have been appointed as Prabharis and incharges of the Assembly segments. However, the party appointed these people not in their home constituencies but in other Assembly segments.
Former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, who represented Gandhi Nagar seat, has been appointed as Incharge of Reasi Assembly segment.
Similarly, former Deputy Chief Minister, Nirmal Singh has been appointed as Incharge of Udhampur East Assembly seat. Former minister Ajay Nanda is the Incharge of Udhampur Assembly segment. Similarly, former minister Priya Sethi has been given the charge of Gandhi Nagar Assembly seat.
