Kulgam, Feb 13: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam, Viqar Ahmed Giri on Monday visited Aharbal to review arrangements for upcoming two days winter carnival at Aharbal & Chiranbal tourist places scheduled on February 16 and 17.
There he chaired a meeting of officers and reviewed arrangements and preparations made for the festival by various departments.
During the meeting, the ADC took stock of arrangements for different activities including cultural programmes, transportation, trekking, snow games, illumination, installation of stalls and other activities.
He also instructed the Mechanical Engineering Department to put men and machinery in ready mode to ensure timely snow clearance, if required.
He also stressed upon the officers of line departments to put in place elaborated arrangements to make the event successful.
The meeting was attended by CEO ADA, Romin Sheikh; ACR, Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz; ACD, Mohammad Imran Khan; SDM Noorabad; Ex. Engineer ADA and officers from Youth Services and Sports, PHE, Forest and other departments.
