PAHALGAM, JULY 12: Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar visited the Nunwan Base Camp to assess the preparations for the ongoing Shri Amarnathji Yatra (SANJY)-2023. The purpose of the visit was to review the logistical, lodging, health, and other arrangements to ensure a smooth and comfortable pilgrimage experience for the devotees.
During his visit, Advisor Bhatnagar engaged with the devotees, service providers, officers from various departments, and representatives of security agencies. He actively sought feedback and took stock of the facilities provided, emphasizing the significance of maintaining cleanliness and sanitation for the safety of the pilgrims.
Expressing his appreciation, Advisor Bhatnagar commended the dedication and hard work of the camp administrators, medical staff, and volunteers involved in managing the pilgrimage. He highlighted the importance of their efforts in ensuring the seamless operation of the Yatra. He emphasized that the Shri Amarnathji Yatra holds immense religious value and that it is the collective responsibility of all stakeholders to provide a secure and comfortable environment for the devotees.
Addressing the officers present, Advisor Bhatnagar urged them to work in close coordination to facilitate the smooth conduct of the Yatra. He also emphasized the need for extending all possible support to the devotees, urging concerned departments to take every necessary measure to ensure a safe and hassle-free pilgrimage.
During the visit, Advisor Bhatnagar also inspected the Base Camp hospital and assessed the medical facilities available for the pilgrims. He interacted with doctors and other paramedical staff, directing them to ensure the availability of necessary medicines and round-the-clock healthcare services throughout the Yatra.
