Skill training on financial prudence & funding opportunities concludes at SKUAST-K

Srinagar, Feb 20: A weeklong skill training on ‘Financial Prudence and Tapping Funding Opportunities for MSMEs’ concluded on Monday at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir’s Faculty Outreach Centre, Shuhama campus.
The training, organised by SKUAST-K’s School of Agricultural Economics & Horti-Business Management in collaboration with the Division of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Extension under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, was attended by 25 aspiring entrepreneurs and research scholars.
In the valedictory address, the Head Division of Veterinary & AH Extension, Prof Abdul Hai, highlighted the achievements of the programme and its role in the development of entrepreneurship in the region. Prof Hai stressed on the participants to make full use of the skills learnt during the training.
Programme organiser and assistant professor hortibiz, Dr Omer Fayaz Khan gave a brief account of various sessions held in the training programme and their likely impact on the participants in a positive manner for an effective outcome for young professionals and entrepreneurs.
Dr Shabeer A Hamdani, assistant professor, Veterinary Extension, co-organizing secretary of the event proposed the formal vote of thanks.
The present training program was one of its first to be held collaboratively under the Faculty Outreach Centre at Div. of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Extension, FVSc & AH Shuhama in recent times.
