Samba, July 30: LJP (R) J&K president Rafiq Malik on Sunday inaugurated the party office at Kotli Ratnu Chak, Samba.
On the occasion, several prominent persons joined LJP (R), the party said in a statement issued here, adding, “Those who joined include Rajinder Kumar District President Samba Labour Cell, Rohit Kumar General Secretary Labour Cell Dist Samba, Rampal SC/ST President Dist Samba, Gafoor Hussain Sports and Culture Jammu Province President.”
Speaking on the occasion, Malik said, “Public grievances are mounting every day but the Government has remained unmoved. The public issues and grievances are piling up with the passage of every day but the administration has failed to solve the basic issues.”
He expressed serious concern over “hefty” power tariff bills highlighting poor people’s inability to pay such bills and that too when there are unscheduled power cuts in the area. He criticized the Central government for the “unprecedented price hike and record unemployment”. “The government has failed to address the grievances of people of J&K on every count after promising massive development in the garb of their wrong policies in the UT,” he said
Malik added, “The people of JK have realized the politics gimmicks of various groups and parties which were trying to make inroads in JK to create confusion among the voters.” He stressed upon the people to remain vigilant against the “political exploitation” by these political parties. He also highlighted the fate of daily wagers, need-based and casual workers, and said the government is totally indifferent to the genuine demand.
