Srinagar, May 17: Expressing serious concern over the “undue delay” in referring vacant posts to recruiting agencies, the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) on Wednesday demanded the government must refer posts to recruiting agencies without any further delay.
In a statement issued here, the DPAP spokesperson said complaints are pouring in that departments are dilly-dallying on the referral of vacancies to the recruiting agencies even after the lapse of the deadline fixed by the government.
“Vital information in respect of already referred posts has not been furnished by several departments thereby leading to delay in the start of the recruitment process,” he said, adding, “By delaying the recruitment process, the careers of youth are put at stake. A large number of youth are on the verge of crossing overage limit which once crossed, makes them ineligible for government jobs.”
He said the government in March this year had directed all the Administrative Departments to coordinate with the recruiting agencies and ensure that all vacancies are referred by April 15, 2023, positively. “But unfortunately, no such process has been completed and thus the careers of job aspirants have been put at stake.”
The DPAP has urged the government to direct all departments to refer vacant vacancies to the recruiting agencies with directions to fill up them in a time-bound manner.
