Ganderbal, Apr 24: The Kisan Samparak Abhiyan program for overall agricultural development was launched on Monday in Ganderbal district. Sub-Divisional Magistrate Kangan Javed Rathar inaugurated a 3-day training program at the panchayat house in MargundKangan.
The program will cover four blocks in the district, namely Ganderbal, Lar, Kangan, and Gund, until August 30. The Kisan Samparak Abhiyan handbooks were distributed, and videos highlighting the projects approved under the scheme were shown by the District Development Commissioner Ganderbal Shyambir.
During the program, SDM Javed Rathar and other officers emphasized that the Kisan Samparak Abhiyan program has been launched to provide all agriculture-related facilities under one roof, ensuring overall development of the agriculture sector. They urged PRIs, farmers, and especially the youth to register themselves and take advantage of the scheme to promote agricultural production and productivity in the district, thereby increasing the farming community’s economy.
The orientation program was attended by the Chief Agriculture Officer, officers of the Animal Husbandry Department, and other officers of the district, including farmers and PRIs.
