Srinagar, June 23: A devastating road accident in Peerbagh area of Srinagar resulted in the demise of a young resident from the downtown area on Friday. The incident occurred when the victim, identified as Sahib Mukhtar Bhat, was riding his scooty from Peerbagh towards Humhama and collided with another motorcycle, causing severe injuries.
According to an official from the Police Post Humhama, immediate medical attention was provided to the injured youth who was swiftly transported to Bones and Joint Hospital in Barzulla, Srinagar. Tragically, despite the efforts of the medical staff, Sahib Mukhtar Bhat was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
The deceased, 20-year-old Sahib Mukhtar Bhat, was the son of Mukhtar Ahmad Bhat and a resident of Hawal Srinagar. The news of his sudden demise has sent shockwaves through the local community, leaving friends and family devastated.
In response to the incident, authorities have registered a case under the relevant sections of the law to initiate a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
