Jammu, Aug 18: Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Commissioner, Rizwan-ud-Din while exhibiting complete dedication and commitment towards his duties resolved the “much-complex” case of a person who had been running from pillar to post for the last six months to get her Universal Account Number (UAN) updated.
Monika Jamwal, an ex-employee of Vivek Niketan, Udhampur, according to a statement issued by EPFO said, “I had been visiting the EPF Office Jammu for the last around six months to get my Universal Account Number (UAN) updated,” she said, adding, “I had also submitted my KYC 6 months back but despite repeated requests and visits to the EPF Office Jammu my UAN was not updated.”
Monika said, “I had lost all hope as there was no positive response from the concerned officials but thanks to Rizwan sir”. She said that due to varied reasons, the concerned people at the EPF Office kept on telling her that her EPF is not updated as her UAN is missing (not updated).
Monika was all praise for the Commissioner Rizwan-ud-Din saying that without his intervention and timely help, her UAN would not have been updated and added, “I had no clue about my Universal Account Number (UAN), and my joint declaration form was not being accepted”.
Monika was conversing with the officials at the Facilitation Centre of EPFO, Jammu, about her UAN arguing that she had submitted her KYC six months back.
The Commissioner on a surprise visit heard the conversations between DEO and Monika. The DEO showed helplessness in the matter. Finding the visitor in a perplexed state, the Commissioner invited her to his chamber and facilitated all the actions required to be done at EPFO, Jammu.
After the Commissioner’s intervention, Monika’s UAN got activated after obtaining all the required information.
