Kunzar, Oct 08: The Bahar-I-Adab Tilgam on Sunday organized a mega book launch event at Kunzar Tangmarg. During the ceremony, much-anticipated book, ‘Sadfus Manz Dardaan,’ was released by the eminent personalities.
The book written by Syed Nadim Bukhari and is based on various life aspects of Sufi literature lover Late Mohammad Asadullah Mir Pasnagi, who was born and brought up in north Kashmir’s Pasnag of Baramulla district
The inauguration ceremony, marked by its grandeur, was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Shad Ramzan, the Convener of the Kashmiri Board of Sahitya Academy, who lent an aura of intellectual eminence to the event.
In a remarkable show of support, renowned broadcaster and former Director of All India Radio Srinagar, Syed Humayun Qaiser, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Adding to the luster of the gathering was the presence of Muhammad Amin Bhat, noted broadcaster and former President of Aadbi Markaz Kamraz, who attended as the guest of honor.
The stage also featured luminaries like Syed Uddin Saadi, Nazir Hussain Hussain Gowhar, Patron of Aadbi Markaz Kamraz, and the erudite Dr. Rafiq Masoudi, a former broadcaster, along with Rashid Roshan, President of Bahar e Adab Talgam, and Ghulam Hasan Bhat.
The literary prowess of the book ‘Sadfus Manz Dardaan’ was eloquently dissected in Shahid Dilnavi’s essay, titled “Sadafas Munz Dardan Akh Silsbeel,” presented by Abid Ashraf.
A diverse gathering of writers, poets, and ardent literature enthusiasts from the valley added vibrancy to the event, making it a true celebration of literature.
In his key address, Prof Saad Ramzan said Sufi literature has a rich history and potential to make significant contributions to humanity.
“As custodians of cultural and spiritual wisdom, there is an urgent need to preserve both the language and literature of Sufism,” he said.
Prof. Saad said he has this preservation effort is vital to ensure that future generations can access and appreciate the invaluable insights and profound teachings that Sufi literature offers, thereby continuing to enrich the world with its timeless wisdom.
He expressed his gratitude to family of Late Mohammad Asadullah for completing his book. He stated that Mir will be always remembered for his contribution in Sufi literature.
In his address, Syed Humayun Qaiser said that Sufi literature, known for its spiritual depth and timeless wisdom, continues to captivate a wide and diverse audience, transcending geographical and cultural boundaries.
“Success in the field of Sufi music is not just about mastering notes and rhythms, it is about delving into the depths of your own soul and connecting with the hearts of your audience,” he said adding that youth should embrace this beautiful art form with passion, dedication, and an open heart.
Similarly, Patron of Aadbi Markaz Kamraz, Dr. Rafiq Masoodi and noted broadcaster Muhammad Amin Bhat also highlighted the contribution of Mohammad Asadullah Mir Pasnagi.
As the event drew to a close, Khurshid Ahmed Khurshid extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to all the esteemed guests who graced the occasion.
The program was moderated by prominent writer Shabum Tilgami, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for all attendees.
The event was also graced Javid Ahmad Mir, Nazir Ahmad Mir and Mohammad Azam Mir who welcomed the guests with open brothers.
