SRINAGAR, May 25: Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Monday chaired a high-level meeting in Srinagar to review and finalise arrangements for Eid-ul-Adha prayers at shrines and mosques managed by the Waqf Board.

The meeting was attended by officials from various government departments, senior police officers, Waqf officials, and Imams and Khateebs from prominent shrines and mosques across Kashmir. Discussions were held regarding coordinated arrangements for smooth conduct of Eid prayers and hassle-free facilities for worshippers.

Dr Andrabi stressed the need for close coordination between the Waqf Board and different departments to ensure proper management of traffic, sanitation, healthcare, power and other essential services during the festival.

Speaking after the meeting, she said all necessary arrangements for Eid prayers had been finalised in coordination with the administration. She also appreciated the support and cooperation extended by various departments in making festival arrangements successful over the past few years
