On the directions of IGP Kashmir V. K. Birdi-IPS, a momentous flag-off ceremony was organized by the Zonal Police Headquarters Kashmir at the Police Control Room Kashmir.

The ceremony marked the departure of a group of 49 students from the Kashmir Valley, accompanied by 03 caretakers, for their participation in the 24th Rashtra Katha Shivir at Rajkot, Gujarat from 17th to 24th December.

The programme, “24th Rashtra Katha Shivir,” is being organized by Shri Vedic Mission Trust. This initiative is designed to instill crucial life skills through orations delivered by distinguished speakers. The flag-off ceremony was attended by SSP PCR Kashmir, along with other officers from PCR Kashmir and ZPHQ, adding to the grandeur of the occasion. Worth to mention here that all the boarding and lodging facilities are being provided by Zonal Police Headquarters Kashmir. Besides, a customised kit containing clothes etc has also been provided to all the participating students.

SSP PCR Kashmir, in an interactive session with the diverse group of students hailing from different parts of the Kashmir valley, emphasized that the purpose of this tour is to offer a platform for orientation and nurturing of youth in various disciplines, such as National Integration, Social & Religious harmony etc.

He further advised the students to embrace a sense of nationalism and appreciate the greatness of our country. SSP PCR Kashmir encouraged them to make the most of this opportunity, create lasting memories during the camp, and wished them a journey filled with fun and safety.

Parents and touring students applauded the efforts made by J&K Police for such a mesmerizing initiative and thanked Police for providing them an opportunity to participate in 24th Rashtra Katha Shivir in Gujarat.
