Ramban, Aug 17: The District Administration Ramban, under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, is extending healthcare to remote areas through the ongoing “Hospital on Wheels” programme, aimed at providing medical services at people’s doorsteps.As per a statement issued here, as part of this initiative, a mobile medical camp was organised today at Village Gundi Dharam, Medical Block Gool, to bridge the healthcare gap in inaccessible areas by providing treatment, free medicines, diagnostics and health awareness.A medical team of doctors and paramedical staff attended to over 130 patients, including 120 in General OPD and 16 in Dental consultations. Basic investigations such as blood sugar, anaemia and malaria testing were conducted. Screenings for non-communicable diseases and tuberculosis under NTEP were also carried out. In addition, 40 ABHA IDs were generated to promote digital health services under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. Awareness sessions were held on health schemes and programmes including JK SEHAT, PMJAY, NTEP, E-Sanjeevani and ABDM. Villagers were also advised on adopting healthy lifestyle practices to prevent lifestyle-related ailments. Such outreach programmes will continue across remote areas to strengthen public health delivery and improve health outcomes. The camp was organised under the supervision of the District Health Society Ramban.
