Srinagar, July 15: The Director of School Education Kashmir on Tuesday said that orientation programmes for the newly promoted headmasters in the districts of North Kashmir will commence shortly.Through these orientation programs, the headmasters will receive adequate training on managing administrative, financial, and academic matters within government schools.

Speaking to the reporters, G N ltoo said that nearly 530 masters have recently been promoted to headmaster positions in government schools. “When a master is elevated to the role of headmaster, additional responsibilities are assigned. The individual is no longer solely an academician; as the administrator and head of the school, their responsibilities significantly increase,” he said.”The three-day orientation program has commenced at DIET Anantnag, and we have already conducted similar programs in Central Kashmir districts. During this three-day orientation, we offer comprehensive guidance to the newly promoted headmasters on effectively managing administrative, financial, and academic matters. Proper guidance will be provided to the headmasters throughout this program,” he said ltoo said that the headmasters will also receive guidance in accordance with the new education policy, addressing challenges, frameworks, and methods to enhance the quality of education.

The initiative aims to promote innovative ideas within government schools, thereby increasing their recognition in the field of innovation.”I am confident that following the successful completion of this three-day orientation program, the headmasters will be well-equipped to implement all initiatives in government schools as outlined in the New Education Policy,” DSEK said. He added that the orientation program has already been completed in the districts of Central Kashmir, and now the program for headmasters has begun in the districts of South Kashmir as well.
