Jammu, July 9: In a vibrant and well-attended function held at Chamber House, the newly elected office bearers of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) formally assumed their responsibilities Wednesday. The event witnessed the presence of nearly 500 members from diverse sectors of trade, industry, and civil society, reaffirming the strong support base and collective enthusiasm surrounding the leadership transition.A statement issued here said that the proceedings of the felicitation ceremony were conducted by Prithvi Raj Gupta, a respected former office bearer of the CCI. The event was marked by camaraderie, reflection on the Chamber’s journey, and a renewed commitment to the welfare of the business community in Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing the gathering, Arun Gupta, the newly elected President of the CCI, assured members that he and his team would remain accessible round-the-clock to resolve grievances and represent the interests of trade and industry effectively. “We will leave no stone unturned in furthering the cause of business growth, industrial development, and policy advocacy,” he said. The function was graced by several distinguished personalities, including–former CCI Presidents—Romesh Chander Gupta, Y.V. Sharma, former CCI Secretaries General— Prithvi Raj Gupta, Rajendra Motial and Gaurav Gupta. The ceremony concluded with a renewed resolve to advance the Chamber’s vision of economic empowerment, policy advocacy and industry facilitation in the Union Territory.
