Srinagar, May 05: National Conference (NC) president, Dr Farooq Abdullah on Monday urged party functionaries to work together effectively to highlight public issues.
Meeting scores of public delegations and party leaders at NC headquarters Nawa-e-Subah here, Dr Abdullah stressed the critical importance of party office bearers focusing on public issues, saying they serve as a vital link between the public and the party.
“The MLAs and party functionaries must actively address and advocate for the concerns of the people they represent. By prioritising public issues, we can strengthen our connection with the community and work towards a brighter future for all,” he said, adding, “In the face of significant challenges and hardships over the past decade, it is our duty to be the voice of the people and tirelessly strive for their welfare.”
The NC chief reiterated the commitment of the Omar Abdullah-led government to fulfil all promises outlined in the party manifesto.
