Srinagar, Mar 06: Hafsa Rashid, a young writer from Srinagar, has been honoured with the ‘Youth Icon Award, International Best Sellers Award, and the Rabindranath Tagore Award’ for her outstanding contributions to literature.
Speaking to Rising Kashmir, Hafsa expressed her joy at receiving the prestigious honours.
“Writing has always been my passion, and these awards motivate me to continue my journey in the literary world. I hope to inspire more young writers from Kashmir to pursue their dreams,” she said.
Hafsa’s work has been widely appreciated, and her recognition at the international level has brought pride to Kashmir. Her achievements highlight the growing influence of young Kashmiri writers in the literary space.
“Literature is a powerful tool to express thoughts and emotions. I want to use my writing to bring meaningful stories to readers and represent my homeland on a global platform,” Hafsa added.
She further stressed the role of reading in shaping a writer’s journey. “I believe that reading extensively helps in developing a strong writing style. I encourage young aspiring writers to read as much as they can and never stop learning,” she said.
