Srinagar, Nov 29: Senior People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Mohammad Khursheed Alam on Friday chaired a crucial meeting at Habba Kadal here to reinvigorate the party’s activities.
The meeting was attended by key party figures and local office bearers to strategise fortifying the PDP’s grassroots presence and addressing pressing public concerns in the region, a statement issued here said.
Prominent leaders in attendance included Habba Kadal Incharge Arif Laigaroo Abdul Qayoom Bhat, Dr Ali Mohammad, Mohammad Altaf Bhat, Ishfaq Khan, Lateef Ahmad, and Bilal Ahmad, alongside local office bearers from the constituency.
Addressing the gathering, Khursheed Alam underscored the importance of unwavering dedication to the party’s vision. “The true strength of a party lies in its connection with the grassroots. We must unite to ensure that the message and vision of our president, Mehbooba Mufti, reach every corner of Jammu and Kashmir. Her leadership symbolizes hope, unity and progress and it is our collective responsibility to amplify her voice,” he said.
He called for prioritising public concerns and urged party members to represent the aspirations of the people with sincerity and determination. “It is only through genuine engagement with the masses that we can rebuild trust and work towards a brighter, more equitable future,” Alam added.
The discussions also focused on mobilising efforts to expand the party’s influence in Habba Kadal and tackling critical issues faced by residents.
The meeting concluded with a unanimous commitment to tirelessly work for the welfare of the people while upholding the PDP’s ideals of justice, equality and progress.
