Director Food, Civil Supplies & Consumers Affairs (FCS&CA) Jammu, Rifat Kohli today visited Batote of District Ramban and presided over an Awareness-cum-Grievances redressal camp held to sensitized the beneficiaries about various ongoing schemes of the department.
During the camp, the beneficiaries from different tehsils of the district participated and put forth their grievances.
Appealing to the beneficiaries to take advantage of the various ongoing schemes of the Department, she also redressed various grievances on-the-spot.
The Director asked the ineligible beneficiaries who are taking benefits under various schemes meant for the genuine and eligible beneficiaries and warned them that a legal procedure will be initiated against such people who do not deserve to fall under AAY and PHH category.
She directed the Tehsil Supply Officers to organize such awareness camps in their jurisdiction so that beneficiaries will come to know about the various departmental schemes with a focus on eKYC registration of all the beneficiaries within the stipulated time period, and increase transactions with respect to ONORC scheme.
Assistant Director, FCS&CA, Ramban, Rahul Sharma, also gave a brief presentation about the working of the department in district Ramban.
The public representatives of Tehsil Batote along with Tehsildar Batote, Vijay Sharma and all Tehsil Supply Officers and Storekeepers of the department participated in the Awareness-Cum-Grievance Redressal camp.
On this occasion, updated Ration Cards were also distributed among the eligible beneficiaries.
