Kathua, Oct 23: An exposure visit for students of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Dhar Dugnoo, Kathua, was organized by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Jammu and Kashmir Bureau Office (JKBO) at its office laboratory on Wednesday.
The students visit Referral Assay Laboratory (RAL) where they had the first-hand experience of gold sample testing.
Around 40 students participated in the event. During the visit, Standards Promotion Consultant Umar Mukhtar introduced the students to the standardization process, the BIS Care App, and Gold Hallmarking.
The program was also moderated by Sanjay Sheria, DEO, BIS JKBO, who talked about the list of products that comes under the ambit of mandatory certification.
The session concluded with an interactive Question and Answer session, where students engaged actively with the BIS team.
