Ganderbal, Sept 17 : Bashir Mir, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate contesting for the Ganderbal constituency, Tuesday led a foot march rally from Duderhuma to Beehama Chowk. The event saw participation from numerous party workers and a large crowd of supporters, who marched with enthusiasm to show their backing for the local leader ahead of the upcoming elections.
Speaking to the reporters Bashir Mir highlighted the importance of electing local candidates dedicated to the progress of the Ganderbal region. “Our primary aim behind this march is to motivate the people of Ganderbal to vote for representatives who truly work for the welfare of our constituency,” Mir said, underscoring the need for local voices in government.
In a notable declaration, Mir also welcomed the involvement of Jamaat-e-Islami in the electoral process. Commending the inclusivity of the democratic system, he said, “The strength of democracy lies in its ability to accommodate diverse voices. The participation of varied groups only strengthens the democratic fabric.”
