Ganderbal, Aug 16: The annual Urs of revered Sufi saint Hazrat Syed Qamar-ud-Din Bukhari (RA) commenced in the Reshipora Saloora area of Ganderbal district, marking the beginning of two days filled with religious devotion and spiritual fervor.
The Urs, observed from August 16 to August 17, draws thousands of devotees from across the region, all gathering to pay their respects and seek blessings. This year, the event is being held with significant enthusiasm, reflecting the deep spiritual connection many have with the saint.
Elaborate arrangements have been made by the Qamaria Trust in collaboration with local administration to ensure the smooth conduct of the Urs. The event’s highlights include Khatmat-ul-Mozamaat (recitation of religious texts) and sermons by various esteemed Ulemas, scheduled to take place tonight.
