Srinagar, July 10: The Executive Committee of the J&K Mechanical Engineering Graduates Association (JKMEGA), under the leadership of its President, met with the Chief Secretary of J&K today to discuss the various challenges faced by the engineering community, particularly in the field of mechanical engineering.
During the meeting, the following key issues were highlighted ; Re-organization of Jal Shakti Department, Expansion of Mechanical Cadre, Assured Career progression (ACP), Restructuring of Public Works Department, providing of Standard Operating procedures (SOPs), Engineering Service Rules and Schedule of Rates for Mechanical Works.
The Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo was very cooperative and assured the delegation that all genuine demands would be addressed promptly. He expressed his commitment to support the engineering community and emphasized the importance of these issues for the overall development of the region.
The President of JKMEGA expressed his gratitude to the Chief Secretary for his understanding and support and looks forward to seeing positive changes implemented for the benefit of mechanical engineers and the engineering community as a whole.
