The search operations to trace the body of a teenage girl who jumped into the Jhelum River at Jamia Bridge in Sopore was resumed on Thursday for the second straight day.
The authorities, including police, locals, and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), have recommenced efforts after operations were temporarily halted on the previous evening due to low visibility.
The 16-year-old girl’s leap into the river took place on Wednesday afternoon, and despite ongoing search efforts, her body is yet to be located. The collaborative search operation remains underway to find and recover the girl’s body from the Jhelum River.
