DPAP welcomes PM’s statement on elections, statehood

Srinagar, June 20: Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) has welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement on conducting elections and restoring statehood in Jammu and Kashmir.
DPAP Chief Spokesperson Salman Nizami in a statement expressed the party’s support, highlighting the importance of these developments for the region.
Nizami said the high participation in the recent Lok Sabha elections indicates a strong desire for change among the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “The citizens are eagerly awaiting the chance to elect a government of their choice, a sentiment that has been a long-standing desire and demand,” he said.
Salman urged the government to ensure peace and facilitate the smooth conduct of upcoming elections. “Fulfilling the aspirations of the citizens is crucial. This will pave the way for a more representative and responsive governance structure,” he added.
