JAMMU, June 11: Just days after the Sunday terror strike in Reasi, terrorists attempted another attack, this time targeting Saida village in the Hiranagar area of Kathua District, Jammu region. However, thanks to the alertness of villagers, the attack was thwarted. One terrorist was neutralized by security forces, while another remains trapped.
An intense search operation has been launched to locate the trapped terrorist. Between 7:30 to 7:45 PM today, terrorists approached a house in Siada Village, requesting water. Suspecting their motives, villagers promptly alerted security forces. Sensing danger, the terrorists fled into the nearby forests.
A joint operation by the Army, Police, and CRPF is underway to apprehend the terrorists. “Contrary to social media rumours, there is no hostage situation,” clarified DC Kathua, RakeshMinhas. “One terrorist has been neutralized, and efforts are ongoing to capture the trapped terrorist.”
SSP Inayat Ali said that one civilian has been injured in the terror attack. “One civilian has received injury in the left arm, while one terrorist has been gunned down”.
He said that intense joint search operation has been launched to hunt down the second terrorist.
