73rd Constitution Day observed in all District Courts of Kashmir

The 73rd Constitution Day was celebrated today in all the District Courts of Kashmir to commemorate adoption of the Constitution of India.

The Day was observed by reading the preamble to the Constitution by the respective Principal District and Sessions Judge.

In Anantnag, the National Constitution Day was celebrated at District Court Complex Anantnag and all the Taluka Courts.

At District Court Complex, preamble was read by Principal District & Sessions Judge Anantnag, and was attended by Judicial Officers, Staff members of District Court Headquarter, DLSA, LADC members, PLVs and the members of Bar Association Anantnag.

On the occasion brief lectures were delivered on the importance of Constitution Day and highlighting the features of the Indian Constitution.

At Tehsil level the Preamble was read by the respective judicial officers and was attended by staff members, PLVs and members of respective Bar associations.

Various events were organized throughout the district to celebrate the significance of the Constitution in upholding the democratic values and principles of the nation. These included seminars, debates, and cultural programs aimed at educating and fostering a deeper understanding of the Constitution among the general public.

In Srinagar, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Srinagar, under the aegis of J&K Legal Services Authority today organized an impactful program in commemoration of Constitution Day at the Conference Hall of District Court Complex, Moominabad Srinagar.

The event witnessed the presence of Jawad Ahmed, Chairman of DLSA (PDJ), Srinagar, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The event resonated with the participation of Judicial Officers of District Srinagar, Members of the Bar, Administrative and Ministerial Staff of District Judiciary Srinagar, Members of the LADC System, Panel Lawyers, Staff members, and para Legal Volunteers of DLSA, Srinagar.

Under the leadership of PDJ, Srinagar, the gathering delved into the pivotal importance of the Constitution and its guiding principles encapsulated in its preamble.

Addressing the audience, PDJ underscored the profound significance of the Constitution as the bedrock of our democratic ethos, emphasizing its role in upholding justice, equality, and fundamental rights.

Speaking about the event, Jawad Ahmed, Chairman of DLSA (PDJ), Srinagar, remarked, “Our celebration today is not merely ceremonial; it is a reaffirmation of our collective dedication to uphold the principles and values that define our nation. The joint reading of the Preamble serves as a reminder of the solemn pledge we take towards justice, equality, and the rule of law.”

A beautiful moment unfolded as participants engaged in a joint reading of the Preamble, led by PDJ Jawad Ahmed, symbolizing a heartfelt tribute to the essence and spirit of the Constitution.

Adding a tangible dimension to the commitment toward justice, the event also saw the distribution of cheques among beneficiaries sanctioned by the J&K Legal Services Authority.

In Budgam, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Budgam, under the aegis of J&K Legal Services Authority orchestrated an enlightening program in the CourtRoom of the Principal District & Sessions Judge (PD&SJ) Budgam to commemorate Constitution Day.

The event witnessed the presence and active participation of Khalil Ahmad Choudhary, Chairman, DLSA (PDJ), Budgam, as the Chief Guest.

The other guests, who graced the occasion, include Aijaz Ahmad Khan, ADJ Budgam; Noor Mohammad Mir, CJM Budgam; Sheikh Gowher, Special Mobile Magistrate, Budgam; Jahangir Ahmad Bakshi, Secretary DLSA, Budgam and Farrah Bashir, Munsiff Budgam.

The event also saw the enthusiastic involvement of members of Bar Association Budgam, Administrative and Ministerial Staff of District Judiciary Budgam, Members of LADC System, Panel Lawyers, Staff members, and para Legal Volunteers of DLSA, Budgam.

PDJ, Khalil Ahmad Choudhary shed light on the unparalleled importance of the Constitution and its guiding principles articulated within the preamble. He stated in his address that our Constitution is not just a document; it is a beacon of hope, a testament to our shared values, a guidebook for a just society. It breathes life into the ideals we hold dear and stands unwavering against the tides of time.

Choudhary remarked that in the elegant prose of our Preamble lies the soul of our Constitution, painting a portrait of our aspirations, dreams, and collective resolve. We, the people, are summoned by these words, etched in history, guiding our nation toward a brighter future.

At the end of the event a symbolic gesture unfolded as the participants engaged in a joint reading of the Preamble, led by the PDJ, Khalil Ahmad Choudhary.

In Ganderbal, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ganderbal, in collaboration with District Judiciary Ganderbal, celebrated Constitution Day within the premises of the District Court complex Ganderbal.

The programme was held under the chairmanship of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, (PD&SJ) Ganderbal/ Chairman DLSA Ganderbal, Ritesh Kumar Dubey and under the guidance of the Civil Judge (Sr. Division) /Secretary, DLSA Ganderbal, Nusrat Ali Hakak.

The celebration witnessed the presence of PD&SJ /Chairman DLSA Ganderbal, Secretary, DLSA Ganderbal, Mainaaz Qadir, Munsiff/Civil Judge and M Waseem Mirza, JMIC/Munsiff.

Among the attendees were court staff, DLSA staff, Public Prosecutors, Prosecution staff, e-court staff, and PLVs of DLSA Ganderbal.

The event commenced with the reading of the preamble by the PD&SJ/Chairman DLSA Ganderbal, who was joined by the Ld. Judicial officers, staff members of both District Court Ganderbal and DLSA Ganderbal.

This symbolic act aimed to reinforce and promote the core values enshrined in the Indian Constitution, emphasizing justice, equality, and the rule of law.

PD&SJ Ganderbal, delivered a captivating speech underscoring the paramount importance of this significant day in our nation’s history.

He emphasized how the Constitution serves as the bedrock of our democratic system, ensuring the protection of fundamental rights, principles of justice, and equality for all citizens.

During her address, Secretary, DLSA Ganderbal underlined the role of the Constitution in upholding the values of justice, equity, and liberty.

Constitution Day celebration concluded with a pledge taken by all attendees to uphold the principles enshrined in the constitution and work towards building a more inclusive and just society.
