Jammu, Mar 18: A total of 54 Water Supply Schemes (WSS) are currently under execution in the Samba Constituency under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) at an estimated cost of Rs 160.92 crore, with Rs 80.69 crore spent so far.
This was informed in the House on Tuesday in response to a question by BJP MLA Surjeet Singh Salathia.
The government said that out of 76 WSS under execution in Samba, 54 fall under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Of these, 36 have been completed, while 18 are at various stages of progress.
It said 22 schemes have been taken up under Capex/NABARD at an estimated cost of Rs 21.82 crore. Of this, Rs 11.57 crore has been spent, leading to the completion of 17 schemes, while the remaining are still in progress, the government said.
