3rd District Ramban Taekwondo Championship ends

Ramban, Dec 11: The 3rd District Ramban Taekwondo Championship culminated with the demonstration of Taekwondo fights by young Boys and Girls of different clubs. 
The championship was held under ‘My Youth My Pride’ and supervised by Danish Manzoor – an International Taekwondo Athlete and Fit India Ambassador – who was appointed as Observer by J&K Taekwondo Association. It was organized by District Ramban Taekwondo Association under the aegis of J&K Taekwondo Association (JKTA). The event was sponsored by Shiblie Construction & Fabrication, Caketown Banihal, T S Tent House, Om Parkash Abrol and Sons, RA Handloom Banihal, SAR Coaching Institute Ramban & United Printing Press. 
The competition involved all age divisions with the inclusion of the youngest age division (Pee Wee). The final day witnessed a massive combative skill show between the Senior and Junior Athletes in both male and female categories. More than 100 players participated in different weight categories. 
The chief guest of the closing ceremony was Haji Sajad Shaheen (District President, JKNC Ramban) accompanied by Mohd Taskeen Wani (Senior Journalist) as the guest of honour. He was received by Sohib Masroor (President, of District Ramban Taekwondo Association). While speaking on the occasion, he congratulated all the medalists and participants for taking part in the championship. He along with other dignitaries distributed medals among the winners and a memento of honour was given to coaches and referees. 
The special guests on the occasion were Mufti Khursheed Alam, Mohd Tazeem Wani, Prof Bahar Ahmad Mir, Arvind Satti, Mohd Saleem Bhat, Zakir Ahmad Wani, Kaiser Hamid Shiekh, Muzzafar Ahmad Wani. 
The technical team was lead by Mohsin Rafiq Wani (Treasurer, DRTA) along with all the officials to make this event technically fair for every participant.
