37th Sub Junior National Softball Championship: J&K boys, girls in last four stage as semis lineup drawn

Jammu, Dec 22: Elegance, brilliance, serenity, anticipation and motor-ability was on display as Jammu and Kashmir boys and girls teams scripted resounding victories over their rivals to seal berth in the semifinals in the ongoing 37th Sub Junior National Softball Championship, being organised by Softball Association of Jammu and Kashmir, under the auspices of Softball Association of India and J&K Sports Council at MA Stadium, here.
in the boys section, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Punjab have made it to the semifinals, while J&K, AP, Rajasthan and MP have entered into the semifinals.
J&K will take on Punjab, while Andhra Pradesh will lock horns with Madhya Pradesh in the semifinals of the boys section.
In the boys section, Jammu and Kashmir defeated Kerala in an easy context by nine homes to two (9-2) and thrashed Telangana by nine homes to one (9-1); thus qualifying for the semifinals.
In other matches of the boys section, Andhra Pradesh got the better of J&K by four homes to two (4-2), Kerala trounced Telangana by a solitary home (1-0), Rajasthan outplayed Chhattisgarh(3-2), MP defeated Punjab (5-0), Andhra Pradesh drubbed Telangana (6-0), Punjab prevailed over Chhattisgarh (6-2), MP prevailed over Rajasthan (4-0), AP beat Kerala (8-0), Punjab thrashed Rajasthan (5-0) and Madhya Pradesh beat Chhattisgarh by a solitary home(1-0).
Meanwhile, in the Girls Section, Telangana trounced Chhattisgarh by two homes to nil (2-0), Andhra Pradesh beat Kerala in a close contest by (5-4), Rajasthan drubbed J&K (5-3), Punjab defeated Madhya Pradesh (5-0), Andhra Pradesh drubbed Chhattisgarh by (1-0), Telangana crushed Kerala (10-1), Madhya Pradesh beat Rajasthan (7-2), Telangana trounced Andhra Pradesh (1-0), Chhattisgarh trounced Kerala (7-5) and Punjab beat Rajasthan (7-3).
The Championship is being held under the overall supervision of J&K Sports Council & J&K Softball Association.
