3 SMVDU professors in Stanford University’s world’s top 2% scientists

Jammu, Oct 10: Three faculty members from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) have been recognized in the top 2% of scientists globally, as listed by Elsevier Database and Stanford University in October 2023. 
Dr Vineet V. Tyagi, Dean (R&D) and faculty member in the School of Energy Management, is renowned for his work in Solar Thermal Energy Storage, Phase Change Materials, PV/Thermal System, Solar Wastewater Treatment, and Desalination System. He has an impressive record of 230 publications in SCI/Scopus databases, with over 15000 citations and a remarkable H-Index of 51.
Dr Bharat Bhushan Jindal, Associate Dean (Academics) and faculty in the School of Civil Engineering, has made notable contributions to Geopolymer Concrete and eco-friendly construction materials. His research encompasses more than 50 papers published in various peer-reviewed journals, including those indexed in SCI and Scopus. He is currently engaged in innovative areas such as 3D printing concrete and waste material utilization in construction materials.
Dr Mir Irfan UlHaq, faculty member in the School of Mechanical Engineering, has excelled in Materials Tribology, 3D Printing, Green Lubricants, and Cutting Fluids. He has over 60 publications in Scopus databases and is focused on the development of lightweight and sustainable Metal Matrix Composites for diverse applications. 
Prof (Dr) Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, extended his heartfelt congratulations to these faculty members for their remarkable achievement. He praised their significant contributions, both in terms of research publications and their impact on their respective fields, wishing them continued success in their future endeavors.
