2nd UT Ladakh Taekwondo Championship concludes at Kargil

Kargil, Nov 11: The 2nd UT Ladakh Taekwondo Championship concluded at Indoor Stadium Kargil organised by Ladakh Taekwondo Association under the aegis of Taekwondo Federation of India organized 2nd UT Ladakh Taekwondo Championship at Indoor Stadium, Kargil.
DC Kargil Balasaheb Suse was the chief guest, while Maqbool Hussain SE PHE&IFC Maqbool Hussain was the guest of honour and Incharge DYSSO Kargil Mohd Yousuf, General Secretary Ladakh Khokho Association, Syed Mehraj Uddin Shah and Murtaza Ali Representative British Paints were the special guest.
The Championship was organised under the overall supervision of TFI Observer Manoj Kumar from Haryana, who supervised the overall championship through virtual mode due to bad Weather he was not able to make a personal appearance.
DC Kargil appreciated the Association for their handwork and efforts to promote Taekwondo in Ladakh.
He assured the association to help promote the sports in every village of the district to find out the best talent and give them exposure.
Suse appealed to the players to focus on one goal and put more and more effort on the particular talent they have so that more Tashi and Shahnaz can be developed.
Anayat Ali, General Secretary Ladakh Taekwondo Association said that about six players from Ladakh participated at international level so far and more than 100s participated at national level.
About 109 players of different Associations from all parts of Ladakh participated in the 2nd UT level Championship.
Later the Chief Guest and other guests distributed Medals and Trophies among the players and officials.
Its pertinent to mention here that Ladakh Taekwondo Association supporting the National Slogan of Vocal for Local procured all the mementoes from Ladakh Carving a unit by an educated Youth Ahmad Ali (M tech) to support the Local Wooden carving products which the Deputy Commissioner Kargil appreciated.
