28-year-old athlete from Budgam selected for 7th Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship 2023

BUDGAM: A 28-year-old athlete from the Magam main town in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district has been selected for the 7th Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship 2023, which is going to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from February 24th to 28th this month.
Zulfikar Ali, the son of Muhammad Ibrahim Bhat from Magam town in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, has completed his postgraduate studies in sociology at IGNOU Srinagar. He is completed his grudation from Government Degree College Magam and complete his Grudation from Government Degree College Magam. He has completed his basic education at RMP School Magam. 
While talking to the Rising Kashmir, Zulfikar Ali said, “I received a selection letter from the Ju-Jitsu Association of India on February 8 that I have been selected for the 7th Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship 2023.”
 
“I have also participated in the national selection trials, which were conducted in Delhi on February 5 of this month. “In which I also got selected for the National Jiu-Jitsu Team for the 7th Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship. In which 500 athletes from 30 Asian countries are going to participate in this championship,” Ali said.
 
He said that I am feeling proud of myself because I am going to represent India and Jammu and Kashmir on an international level, which I have never expected in my life.
 
“I have won nine gold medals at the state level in the various games, which include Taekwondo, Wushu, Tennis, Volleyball, and Ju-Jitsu Games from time to time in Jammu and Kashmir.” “I have also won a silver medal in the Indo-Nepal Taekwondo Championship in the year 2021,” Ali said.
 
He said that, upon my achievements in the various games, I have also done   the NIS Course in Taekwondo from the Sports Authorities of Bangalore, India. Presently, I am also running my Shizno Sports Academy in Magam, where I am providing training to budding youth. So, these youths can also shine in sports activities.
“I have been associated with the game since the last 15 years, when I was studying at the RMP School of Magam. Presently, I am also working as State Refree in this game. It is because of my family’s support that I am fulfilling my dreams. “My family is happy that I have achieved success in the various games in my sports carrier ” he said.
Adding that the are people who think that there is no scope in the sports field. Today I am going to represent India and Jammu and Kashmir at the international level. Tomorrow, the other persons from Jammu and Kashmir  have to represent in the sports activities at International as well national levels games.
He further said that people who want to achieve their goals need to work very hard. One day, their dreams and goals will be fulfilled.
