Srinagar, Jun 20: “In the last 11 years, the Modi Government has not just governed but transformed India. It has laid the foundation of a strong, self-reliant, and inclusive Bharat. From youth empowerment to women-led development, from poor-centric welfare schemes to a firm national security policy — every decision reflects a vision for a Viksit Bharat,” Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Sat Sharma said on Friday.
Addressing the “11 Saal Mohalla Chaupal” events in Nishat and Chanapora constituencies to commemorate “11 years of transformative governance” under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sharma reaffirmed the BJP’s unwavering commitment to development, peace and grassroots empowerment in the valley.
He said massive infrastructure projects like the tunnels and new railway links to Kashmir have turned long-pending dreams into reality.
“The Modi government brought Kashmir closer to the rest of India, not just geographically but emotionally,” the J&K BJP chief said, calling the recent infrastructural milestones “historic achievements”
The programmes, held under the nationwide outreach campaign, highlighted the pillars of Seva (Service), Sushasan (Good Governance), and Garib Kalyan (Welfare of the Poor) that have shaped the last decade of progress. BJP General Secretary & MLA Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal also addressed the large gatherings of enthusiastic locals, party workers, and community leaders. Also present were Advocate Sheikh Salman, District President, BJP Srinagar, and senior leader Bilal Parray.
In his address, Dr Manyal emphasised the inclusive and people-first approach of the government. “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas is not a slogan—it is the soul of this government. Every scheme launched in the last 11 years, from Ayushman Bharat to PM Awas Yojana, has touched lives in every corner, including the remotest areas of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
Adv Sheikh Salman said the BJP is continuously expanding its connection with common citizens in Kashmir, ensuring that the benefits of development reach all sections of society
