Jammu, Sept 17: On the 100th day of the “Modi-3 Government”, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chief Spokesperson for Jammu & Kashmir, Sunil Sethi praised the administration’s achievements, claiming that its efforts have been “far more revolutionary” than those during the 70 years of Congress rule.
During a press conference at the BJP media centre here, Sethi highlighted several milestones of the party in J&K. BJP spokespersons Abhijeet Jasrotia, YV Sharma, Dr Tahir Chowdhary, GL Raina (former MLC), and BJP media in-charge Dr Pardeep Mahotra were also present.
Sethi said that development schemes worth Rs 33,000 crore have been formulated for Jammu & Kashmir’s welfare. “In the first 100 days, the Modi Government has sanctioned Rs 3 lakh crore for various projects nationwide, including J&K,” he said.
“Three crore new houses have been approved in this period, with 1 crore in urban areas and 2 crore in rural areas. We have plans to provide jobs to 4.1 crore youth and free electricity to 2.5 lakh new houses have been implemented,” he said.
Highlighting tax reforms, Sethi said the Modi government raised the income tax exemption limit to Rs 7 lakh, offering significant relief to the middle class.
Other accomplishments include the investment of Rs 100 crore in space research and the approval of 75,000 new medical seats. “Rs 25,000 crore has been allocated to Self Help Groups (SHGs), and 4.5 lakh families have benefited from Ayushman Bharat, receiving free medical treatment worth up to Rs 5 lakh,” he said.
PM Modi has emerged as a global leader, with nations in conflict zones like Russia and Ukraine inviting him to mediate and resolve their issues, Sethi added.
The spokesperson concluded by extending birthday wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “India is fortunate to have such a leader, now regarded as a Vishwaguru (world leader),” he said.
