On the completion of 100 days of the BJP led NDA at centre there is a buzz that One Nation, One Election will be a possibility in the on-going term of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In his third consecutive term as the Prime Minister the incumbent regime is quite confident to implement the Uniform Civil Code(UCC).There is an every possibility of major reforms that will have a lasting impact on the governance in the entire nation. These reforms will have an impact on various spheres of national life. In an exclusive revelation by The Tribune there is enough indication that the BJP led central government is planning to induct approximately one lakh youth into public life, who are politically non-affiliated. This has been planned to weed out the dynastic politics and bring transparency in public life. The main motivator behind this is Prime Minister Modi. This will not be confined to just BJP but all other political parties. In this move the focus will be to induct SC,ST and OBC youth. It is proper to mention that recently in its Kerala meeting; the RSS- ideological mainstay of the BJP has urged it to give green signal to caste based census. Though the BJP has not taken any call on the caste based census that is a decadal phenomenon when the census is done. But the induction of the youth in public life and focussing on the marginalised sections indicates that the BJP has started exploring the issue from different angles. What will be the outcome in the end will depend once the party places its blueprint in the public domain. These revelations were discussed in an interaction between a select group of journalists with a top government functionary. Not only that, the achievements of the BJP led NDA during these hundred days in the third consecutive term also covered the Indian rise in terms of economic growth. It has been analysed in terms of the infrastructure development that has created new avenues for the people seeking employment in various sectors. Women empowerment by making them self-sufficient has also been acknowledged. It has also taken into account India’s foreign policy outreach that is showing spine. Reduction in the terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and rolling out of the new criminal laws besides the GST reforms has made the Indian situation healthy in terms of internal security and GDP growth. These hundred days as per the official revelation also tell about the improved security situation in Manipur. As far as Jammu and Kashmir is concerned there is a thrust to minimise the influence of the local political families that have ruled here. Congress has also been underlined as a family. As far as the Assembly Election outcome in Jammu and Kashmir is concerned the BJP seems to have kept its fingers crossed and is waiting for the permutation and combinations to evolve and then play its political cards. As per this revelation the BJP may explore to engage with the seven small local parties and more than 30 independents, once the results are declared in Jammu and Kashmir. One thing is clear that The BJP will formulate its policy for the third term with astuteness. India is heading for a comprehensive political change. For One India, One Poll there seems to be steps that the incumbent government will climb gradually to increase its sphere of influence. Though in the third term the BJP has seen a decline in its seat share in the Lok Sabha but it wants to compensate for this by formulating new plans and policies to strengthen its hold on statecraft and governance.
