Srinagar, Jan 27: In a dedicated effort towards community engagement and public welfare, 10 Battalion Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), stationed in Batmaloo, Srinagar, orchestrated a medical camp in the Bemina area on Saturday. Led by Dr. Arun Choudhary, Assistant Commandant (MO) of 10 Bn SSB, along with the collaboration of Dr. Tawseef Ahamad and Dr. Mohammad Amin from J&K Police, the medical team attended to the health needs of approximately 113 residents (85 males, 28 females).
Apart from providing medical consultations and treatments, the camp served as a platform for imparting valuable awareness. Free distribution of medicines took place, addressing the healthcare needs of the local populace. Additionally, the event focused on key social issues, with discussions on “Beti Bachhao, Beti Padao,” promoting a healthy lifestyle through the “Mission Lifestyle” initiative, and creating awareness about the detrimental effects of drug addiction on health and well-being.
Commandant Rohitashwa, leading 10 Battalion SSB, expressed commitment to sustaining such initiatives in the future. He highlighted the positive impact of such programs in fostering a favorable perception of the force and instilling a sense of security within the local community. Emphasizing the ongoing efforts of SSB for the welfare of the local populace, Commandant Rohitashwa underlined the organization’s dedication to maintaining a strong and harmonious relationship with the community.
