10 BN SSB Pays tribute to martyred jawan on Martyrs Day Commemoration

Srinagar, Mar 20: In a poignant ceremony marking the Martyrs Day of Jawan at 10 BN SSB Batmaloo, the solemn remembrance of the courageous late Reyaj Ahmad Gojar Khatana echoed through the hearts of all attendees. The event, held in honor of Khatana who made the ultimate sacrifice on 20th March 2019 in cross-border firing at Village-KundaliBarjalaJabda, PS-Uri, Distt-Baramulla, drew together SSB personnel, officers, dignitaries, and the grieving family of the martyr.
The proceedings commenced with a somber wreath-laying ceremony, where Jawans, senior officers, Commandant Rohitashwa, and the family members of the fallen hero paid their respects. A minute of silence enveloped the gathering, symbolizing the nation’s deep gratitude for the selfless service rendered by Khatana.
In his address, Commandant Rohitashwa reaffirmed the nation’s steadfast support and indebtedness to the SSB personnel, who tirelessly defend our borders and maintain internal security with unwavering dedication and valor.
As a token of appreciation for their immense sacrifice and unwavering support to the nation, the martyr’s family was honored and presented with tokens of appreciation.
The ceremony concluded with a solemn pledge to uphold the legacy of our martyrs and ensure that their sacrifices are never forgotten, serving as a poignant reminder of the unyielding spirit and sacrifice of those who safeguard the nation’s integrity and sovereignty.
