Duo slip to death in Jhelum at Bijbehara, rescue underway

Anantnag, Apr 13 : Two boys drowned in the Jhelum river in the Padshahibagh area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the duo drowned in the Jhelum at Padshahibagh, Bijbehara after they accidentally slipped into the river.

He said that as the news spread, rescue teams were immediately rushed to the spot, while their identities are being ascertained.

Meanwhile, an investigation has been taken up.—
