AICC leader RajniPatil chairs meeting of JKPCC leaders in New Delhi, discusses current pol situation

Srinagar, Sep 06: Congress RajyaSabha MP and AICC Incharge JK affairs RajniPatil Tuesday chaired a meeting with the JKPCC top leadership in New Delhi.
The meeting was addressed by the JKPCC chief VikarRaoolWani, former JKPCC chief GA Mir and JKPCC working meeting Raman Bhalla, senior social activist Amir Khan and joined by  Mula Ram, Balbir Singh, Ashok Bhagat,  Manmohan Singh, Surinder Singh Channi, NeerajKundan, UdayBhanuChib, InduPawar, Ch. Hussain Ali Waffa,  ParnavSangotra, Hari Singh Chib, Rajveer Singh, Suresh Dogra,  Pawan Raina, Sashi Sharma,  Satish Sharma, PankajDogra,  Corporate Kamal Singh DewarkaChoudhary, InderjeetKour, RituChoudhary, Pritam Singh, Vijay Sharma Babbi, Babbl Gupta, Rajinder Singh, Vijay Shastri, JatinVisisht beside others.
The meeting discussed the current political situation, deliberations concentrated over the organisational affairs of the party besides the overall political situation including the preparedness and scenario about the forthcoming elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the statement said.
Patil while addressing JKPCC leaders advised to unitedly fight the “anti-people and anti-youth” policies of the ruling BJP and defeat their alleged “divisive agenda” in Jammu and Kashmir, to strengthen the party and gear up their activities keeping an eye on the forthcoming assembly elections.
She asked leaders to concentrate in their respective areas and be amongst the people to highlight their problems. She appreciated the JKPCC leaders and cadres for their struggle and commitment to fight against the communal and divisive forces in Jammu and Kashmir.
RajaniPatil exhorted party leaders and workers to get united to fight the BJP’s “wrong and anti-people policies,” urging them to strengthen the Congress party at grass roots, as that, it is the Congress Party which has served and shall continue to serve the people.
Patil criticized the “mis-governance of the BJP government due to which the common masses are feeling cheated. She blamed the government for failing to tackle prices and making life difficult for the common man.”  There is no doubt that there has been a significant increase in poverty and hunger, she said. She said there is the rule of untruth and injustice in the country. Whoever raises his or her voice has to bear the brunt of the government’s anger, she added. She observed that governments are elected to ease the burden of people and at the very least, not work directly contrary to their interests.  She further said that public grievances are mounting every day but the BJP Government has remained unmoved. He said that public issues and grievances are piling up with the passage of every day but the Administration has failed to solve the basic issues.
The JKPCC President slammed BJP for dividing and downgrading the J&K into UT to serve its political agenda.  He said Congress Party is capable enough to fight against the BJPs vendetta politics, it will continue to highlight the price hike, rising unemployment, lack of development, misuse of agencies against the opponents at every appropriate forum to make BJP accountable and answerable to people. He lashed out at the Central government for the unprecedented price hike and record unemployment besides failing to address the grievances of people of J&K on every count after promising massive development post-August 5, 2019.
Mir claimed that so far BJP rule has been of "mismanagement, immense despair and agony" and the country today stands at a stage where the common people are suffering from the wounds inflicted by the government whereas Congress has been continuing its efforts to listen to grievances of aggrieved people in various areas of J&K. He said politics of disorientation and false propaganda have become the hallmark of the functioning of the Modi government.
JKPCC Working President said that the development process started by UPA Govt in J&K, received a major setback, as the NDA Govt failed to carry forward the massive developments started by UPA.” He said that people are feeling harassed by ‘tax-terror’ and unprecedented price hike by the Modi government. At the same time, they realize that BJP Govt is looting them to recover the losses it has BJP to the Country’s economy by misrule and mismanagement of things since day one, as a result, there is restlessness across the country. Hitting hard the BJP and its state leadership for cheating the people of Jammu, he said that the BJP has lost the moral right to go to Jammu people after betrayal after betrayal. Stating that BJP has “cheated” people of Jammu, he accused the Union government of reducing the status of people of the region to "fourth-class citizens" even when they voted the party to power in Assembly and Parliamentary polls.
