The event at Srinagar was graced by the presence of Chief Justice N. Kotiswar Singh, along with Justices Tashi Rabstan, Sanjeev Kumar, Sanjay Dhar, and Mohd. Yousuf Wani. Also in attendance were the Registrar General, Principal Secretary to the Chief Justice, Registrar Vigilance, Registrar Rules, Member Secretary of the J&K Legal Services Authority, Registrar IT, Registrar Judicial (Srinagar/Jammu), Secretary of the High Court Legal Services Committee, Joint Registrars (Judicial/Protocol), and other officers and staff from both wings of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh.
Similar yoga programs were held in all subordinate courts across the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. These sessions saw enthusiastic participation, with large numbers of participants performing yoga asanas under the guidance of yoga instructors, who also explained the importance and benefits of each posture for physical and mental well-being.
Justice Sanjiv Khanna, in his address, highlighted the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life to maintain physical and mental fitness and alleviate stress. “Adopting yoga as a lifestyle could significantly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of judicial functions and overall performance of judicial officers and stakeholders,” he said. Justice Khanna also commended the yoga instructors for their role in training participants during the session, praising their efforts in promoting health and wellness through yoga.
