Gurugram, Mar17: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha graced the ET Women Conclave-2024 organised by The Times Group, held at Gurugram.
In a gathering celebrating women’s achievements, the Lt. Governor paid tribute to the Nari Shakti, acknowledging their pivotal role in the growth trajectory of Naya Jammu Kashmir.
Underlining the burgeoning women-led development in Jammu Kashmir, the Lt. Governor emphasised the role of women entrepreneurship in rural and remote areas of the Union Territory, catalysing grassroots change.
“Women entrepreneurs are driving the future of J&K. Their unwavering dedication and hard work have led to remarkable achievements in ITeS, MSMEs, Service Sector, agro-based industry, and Handicrafts,” stated the Lt. Governor.
He reiterated the commitment of the UT Administration to fostering an environment conducive to the socio-economic empowerment of women. “Today, our Nari Shakti is scripting history across all sectors. From academia to sports, from crafts to startups, our daughters are setting exemplary standards and inspiring others with their remarkable achievements,” remarked the Lt. Governor.
During the ET Women Conclave 2024, Lt. Governor Sinha also shed light on the initiatives undertaken by Universities and Higher Educational institutions in the UT aimed at skilling and upskilling women. “Our primary goal is to achieve gender equality in education,” he affirmed.
