Budgam, Oct 02: The wildlife department has installed cages in two locations within the Beerwah tehsil following recent leopard attacks in which one minor boy was killed and another injured.
An official from the wildlife department told Rising Kashmir that teams are conducting search operations in various villages where the attacks occurred.
“The cages have been placed in different areas to ensure the leopard can be captured alive, thereby preventing further loss of human life,” official said . “It is imperative that the public adheres to the advisory issued by the wildlife department, which is already available into the public domain,” he added
He Further said that people must contact the wildlife department in-case any wild animal is sighted in any part of Budgam district. So that they can capture these wild animals alive for the safety of the people.
Pertinent to mention here, two days ago, a four-year-old non-local boy was tragically killed by a leopard in the Najan area of Beerwah during the evening hours.
