Srinagar, May 30: The sporting spirit of young athletes flourished as Inter-School Competitions in Volleyball, Kabaddi, and Kho Kho continued with tremendous enthusiasm in Zone Dangerpora, the largest educational zone of Jammu and Kashmir.
Hosted at High School Brath Kalan, the event saw participation from nearly 800 students representing various schools across the zone. The competitions commenced with a warm welcome extended to all participating teams and dignitaries. Inaugurating the event, Ghulam Muhammad Naikoo, Physical Education Master of High School Brath Kalan, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the essential role of sports in promoting holistic development among students. He highlighted how sports foster qualities such as discipline, teamwork, resilience, and leadership.
The venue witnessed a vibrant and spirited atmosphere throughout the competitions, with young athletes demonstrating exceptional talent, determination and sportsmanship. Special appreciation was conveyed to the Headmaster of High School Brath Kalan for providing excellent facilities and overseeing the smooth and efficient conduct of the events. Additionally, the Physical Education Teachers (PETs) of the zone were lauded for their dedication and successful management of large-scale participation. The competitions will continue over the coming days, offering more opportunities for youth engagement and sporting excellence in the region.
