Vakil demands release of salaries of Daily wagers on priority before Eid

Rafiabad, Apr  16:  Senior Vice President People’s Conference (PC) and former minister, Abdul Gani Vakil,  Sunday urged LG Administration to release salaries of daily wagers, casual need-based, Contingent paid workers, Anganwadi workers in view of Shabe Qadr and Eid-ul Fitr so that their families will not suffer and have a sigh of relief on festival.
He said this while visiting several villages of Rafiabad and sopore including  Hadipora, Nowpora Kalan, Hathlangoo, Shangargund, Behrampora and extended greetings of Shab-e-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr.
Vakil said even contractual employees, working in different government departments are without salaries for several months together.  “They are on the verge of starvation and their salaries should be released in advance so that they can also observe Shabe Qadr and  Eid-ul-Fitr with their families, comfortably”.
The PC leader also stressed on LG-led administration to ensure full-proof arrangements of essential supplies, including ration, flour, oil, gas etc  so that people would not suffer on this auspicious occasion.
Vakil expressed concern that the food items especially mutton and chicken are not  sold at government approved rates and power supply is also not available as per the schedule.
He urged LG administration marketing checking squad needs to be on high alert during these two occasions so that people can have sigh of relief during these times of inflation.
The  former minister also appealed  people to take care of the destitute, orphans, widows and other victims of fate in their respective localities so  that they can also celebrate  Shab e Qadr and Eid ul Fitr with fervour.
