Srinagar, May 5:The Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Rajouri has suspended two teachers posted at Middle School Chaprandar in Zone Thannamandi after they were found absent from duty without authorization during an official inspection.
According to CEO Mohammad Hafiz, the inspection was conducted on Tuesday at around 9:30 a.m., during which teachers Mohd Imran and Shareen Dar were found absent without prior permission. The lapse was termed a case of gross dereliction of duty and a violation of established service rules.
“Taking serious note of the matter, both teachers have been placed under suspension with immediate effect under Rule 31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules,” the CEO said
During the suspension period, Mohd Imran has been attached to Middle School Namblan in Zone Rajouri, while Shareen Dar has been attached to High School Manyal in Zone Thannamandi.
The Head of Institution (HOI) of Middle School Chaprandar has also been directed to submit a detailed written explanation within two days, citing concerns over poor institutional management and failure to maintain discipline and oversight of staff.
Notably, in a similar action earlier, on April 28, 2026, the CEO Rajouri had suspended four teachers from Middle School Namblan following findings of prolonged unauthorized absence and significant administrative and academic lapses.
