Jammu, Feb 25: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) president and former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday appointed Sardar Tejinder Pal Singh Aman as the Provincial President Jammu Province of JKNC Youth Wing.
Tejinder Pal assumed the chair in the presence of Dr Abdullah, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary; former minister and Additional General Secretary Jammu, Ajay Kumar Sadhotra; Provincial President JKNC Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta; MLA Ajaz Jan, MLA Altaf Kaloo and other senior party leaders, the party said in a statement issued here.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Abdullah emphasised the vital role of youth in shaping the future of Jammu & Kashmir. He said, “The youth are the backbone of our party and the driving force behind a progressive and peaceful J&K. I am confident that Sardar Tejinder Pal Singh Aman will uphold the values of the National Conference and work towards empowering young voices in the region.”
The NC chief appreciated the role of MLA Ajaz Jan in mobilising the youth in Jammu region. Deputy CM and others present on the occasion congratulated Aman on his new role. They said JKNC has always believed in giving young and dynamic leaders a platform to serve the people.
MLA Ajaz Jan also extended his best wishes, saying, “The Youth Wing of JKNC plays a crucial role in mobilising the younger generation towards constructive political participation. Tejinder Pal Singh Aman’s dedication and experience make him the right choice to lead this important responsibility.”
After assuming charge, Singh expressed his gratitude to the party leadership for reposing faith in him. He assured that he would work tirelessly to strengthen the party at the grassroots level and engage the youth in meaningful political and developmental activities.
